Exciting Stuff!

omg!... my week has been quite good!... apologies for not blogging, but I been busy and stuff!

well, I can't remember what I was doing before Wednesday actually... but on Wednesday, Jon came down, and omg, we (along with my Mother) went to see... McFLY!... they were quite amazing!... Lil' Chris was there too, and he was cool, but no McFly, hehe... :-D

even more exciting than the fact that I was seeing McFly was this surprise that we got when we arrived!...

yup!!... me, Jon and my Mom may be stars in McFly's new video!... soooo cool...

Thursday!... I had Uni, but on the evening me and Jon went for a pub meal (steak woooow) and to see The Hills Have Eyes II... it's not all that really... t'was ok, but the first was better... steak was nice though!... then we came back and I kicked his ass on Gears Of War for a bit...

THEN!... Friday!... omg, I saw Sugababes, and it was SO fcorking amazing... both Heidi and Keisha wanted my ass!... Heidi was all like, pointing at me singing "I will have you, yes, I will have you..." and stuff!... and later Keisha was like, pointing at me singing Push The Button and like, doing kinky dancing!... see!

so amazing...

yesterday, it was Chris's Mom's wedding, so I went to the reception for that which was fun!... Chris's family all look quite similar, so it was like seeing lots of variations of the same person, hehe... but, yeh, it was nice!

today, I have done nothing much!... I watched The Goonies for the first time this morning, which isn't all it was bigged up to be, but still... and I also playing Resistance (which I am now loving) on my PS3, which I have decided is probably my favourite console!... I dunno why, there's just something about it that I can't put my finger on that makes it ace...

oh yeh, I also finally painted my room on Sunday, along with my hand!

hehe... omg, so tired... I'ma go make tea now to try wake me up slightly...

PS3...

today, I finally got the thing I've been all excited about for the past 7 weeks... after a bit of stress of course... this is me we're talking about!... yeh, I ordered my PS3 on the 11th Feb or something from Woolworths, as you know, and the payment wasn't meant to go out till the 22nd March... well, on the 16th Feb or something, I lost my debit card, so it got cancelled, and I got a new one... so, like, the one I ordered my PS3 with, was totally rejected!

I'd completely forgot about it... I was like, "omg, I hope my PS3 doesn't take forever!" to Jon this morning, and he was like, "is there no tracking thing?" or something... so I checked, and there was, and that's were I found out... I was like, "OMG!"... so I phoned em, n then I realised what had happened... obviously, they wouldn't have been able to get one to me today now, so I was muchos peeved!... so, yeh, I cancelled it, and phoned my Dad to see if he would come with me to town to fetch it!

he did!... and I got it!... dunno if I mentioned, but I traded in my PS2 for £56 the other day... so, in the end, my PS3 came to just £439 with Resistance, MotorStorm, and X-Men 3 Blu-ray movie thing!... quite cool considering it's £30 cheaper than what I was paying from Woolies!... and obviously, I noticed I was saving £30... so I thought "hmm, it won't hurt if I buy another game then!"... and that I did!... I also got Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for some reason!

as for the PS3 itself, it's f*cking huge, but also, extremely pretty!... it won't work in HD on my damn TV though, which is annoying, and I'm not sure why... but for the quite short amount of time (due to that assignment I had to finish today) I have played on it, I am quite impressed!... the graphics are ace even though they aren't in HD!... especially on MotorStorm!

the pad isn't as crap as it's been made out... the light-weightness of it isn't a problem, and you barely notice the lack of a rumble pack... I used the motion sensor thing on MotorStorm a bit, but it's really not that ace, far too hard to control, and nowhere near as clever as the Wii remote... but, they give you the option if you wanna use it, which is cool... it's prolly one of them things you gotta get used to, but still...

what else... erm, the set-up is easy and simple... the menu style is really nice, just the same as the PSP, but with lots more options... the shop is quite cool too, simple, and I like the fact that they charge with actual currency rather than points too, it's so much easier... the only 2 prices I can remember are Lemmings for £3.49, and Teken 5 for £6.99... which are kinda reasonable I think!

speaking of online stuff... me and Chris tested it out earlier!... Marvel, we had no problem setting up, and I thought it was quite cool, but I think Chris found it boring!... however, we did have a bit of trouble setting up Resistance, but I think that was more down to our retardedness, hehe, and it worked in the end anyways... also, quite cool!... love the fact that I'm not stuck having to pay £40 or whatever it is a year as well, cos free stuff is cool, and I pay for the net anyways, so I shouldn't have to pay to use the net that I pay for!

oh, I heard today there's gonna be a price drop of them in October to £389.99 I think it was... see, if they were that price originally, I don't think Gamestation would have still had 45 in stock at 10:00 this morning... but, hey, that coulda meant I wouldn't have had one, hehe... the 20GB one is coming out too for £299.99 or something... I don't recall what it's missing though apart from 40GB and the HDMI hole thing...

anyways, generally, I am happy with my PS3, it is ace, and could potentially end up being my favourite, as long as the games are good, which I've no doubt they will be, and that they sort their backwards compatibility out so I can play 24 and Silent Hill 3!

ooo, that filled some time n took my mind off stuff... Mom's just phoned me though, and Louise is ok, n they're on their way back, she's just in shock, so s'ok!... :-)

well, that quite large sum is going out of my bank today... and therefore, I am taking my broke ass home!... omg, so poor... but it's ok, my PS3 is coming TOMORROW!... I'm quite excited!... :-D

omg, I have this assignment in for tomorrow, with which my lecturer is expecting like, 100 sketches!... loads!... I've managed 21 over 5 pages so far, and I'm totally fresh out of ideas, so I got no idea what to do now... >_<

in other news, my Step Dad turned 34 yesterday!... and my Sister is 17 tomorrow!... also, I have, after some thinking, compiled a list of my top 10 games... ever!... but I shan't be posting that until later on today...

Dreamcast 2?

hmm, I saw the sales figures for the Playstation 3 in America last night, and like, it's selling even less than the Gameboy Advance!... some people reckon it's dead over there already... and also, everywhere still has PS3's in stock still in this country that will all be guaranteed for release!... it's slightly worrying considering I'ma be getting one in like, 3 days!

I can't help but feel like we've got another Dreamcast on our hands!... an amazing console that's a bit before it's time!... which if that is the case, and 2 years from now I'm gonna have a console that isn't gonna be made anymore, I will not be happy!... it could happen!... Sega were quite big in their time!... let's just hope the European PS3 launch goes quite well... :-S

It's Reasons Like These...

...that I love my Xbox 360 so much!...

this morning, I downloaded an episode of South Park on my 360 in HD... t'was such an amazing episode too, hehe... looks proper good in high definition, although, things were moving quite fast in the opening song thing that it sent me a bit dizzy with the clearness!... anywho, that was free, so I was like, yay!

and this afternoon, I downloaded... Worms!... ya know, the worms that shoot each other in the face, n blow each other up n shit!... that Worms!... tis pretty amazing, and the trial is free!... oh how I love Worms... I may like to purchase the full version!

also, some point last week, I downloaded this game called Alien Hominid HD... basically, you're this cute lil alien, with a gun, who shoots/chops the heads off of lots of guards... need I say more?... totally amazing... although, tis quite hard...

Xbox Live is so amazing!... I am currently wondering what the Playstation Store or whatever it's called is like, cos I can't imagine it's gonna be that good from what I've heard... the Wii Shop is kinda cool, but it's not really got much on there in terms of "things that aren't games"... but, yeh, Xbox Live is ace... ^_^

Asda!

right, so, today... me, my Mom and my Step Dad had a day out in... Asda!... hehe, it was quite cool actually, we only went to buy some random things, mainly for their diet, but I also picked up some random things, like pineapple juice, which is lovely, some vanilla ice cream, Sonic and the Secret Rings for my Wii, and these cool egg noodles that I'm having for tea!... somehow!... even with one of those little trolleys!... the grand total for all the items we purchase was... £165!... I was like, "omg!"... I still have no idea how it cost that much, didn't seem like we bought the whole shop, but apparently we did!

also, while I was there, I decided that I am going to sell my Sims 2, University and Nightlife games on eBay!... which will (hopefully) cover the cost of Sonic, and also allow me to by The Sims 2 Seasons!... cos like, we have the PC versions of the games anyways... anywho, these are my first sells on eBay!... so I shall let you know how I get on... it's all quite exciting... I wish someone would bid on the damn things though... ¬_¬

3 WEEKS!...

...PS3!... OMG!!!

March!?!

can you believe it's March already!?... I surely can't!... the second half of this month, minus all the Uni assignment deadlines and my in class exam anyways, is going to be amazing!...

my Playstation 3 arrives on the 23rd!... Jon is coming down on the 28th and we are going to see McFly on the same day!... then on the 30th, we are seeing Sugababes front row!... it's all quite exciting...

as well as that, the picture on my calendar this month is ace!... ^_^

hehe, I got another one of them random "you wanna come eat pizza!?" phone calls off Chris last night at the same time again... t'was quite cool!... then, this morning, we went up town before I had to go Uni, and for dinner we had... more random pizza!... that means, in the past 7 days, I've eaten 4 whole pizzas!... I think today's was the best though... cheese and BBQ sauce, with chicken... sooo nice...

also, I have been feeling slightly bleh the past few days, but I can confirm that... I am generally over it!... :-D

Matt Willis!

omg, Matt Willis was ace last night!... he's so cool!... see...

however!... these stupid bitches behind were such cock sucking whores!... apologies for the language, but omg... I'd queued up for 2 hours before, so I could get a good spot, so I should be allowed to have the spot I waited for... apparently not!... the one was moanin cos she couldn't see properly, so her friend was like, "push him then n he'll get annoyed and move"... SO!... she started pushing me, poking me in the head, sticking her elbows in my back, reading my text messages, etc... grr, I was so angry... but then Matt came on n I was all, "yay!"... until she decided to totally push me out the way and steal my spot... although, it was still ace... even though like, 2 people passed out in front of me, and 1 was nearly sick all over the floor and had to be took out... and all the time, I was feeling quite ill myself... but, Matt Willis!... he's amazing...

anywho, got back to Chris's and he wanted to order pizza, but I was like, "I really don't feel like it"... then puked all in his toilet!... it was quite forceful sick too... if I was looking upwards, it would have been projectile I reckon!... but enough bout my sick, hehe...

then about 5 mins later, I got a text of my friend Claire saying she just had a car crash, not too far from where I was... thankfully, being sick made me feel a lot better, so off a I ran to where she said she was... it was quite bad, so silly women drove into the side of her when she was going up the Birmingham New Road... they were gone when I got there, but Claire's car was undrivable... her brother was there to help though, so it was ok... she was fine, just in shock... so I went back to Chris's after about an hour waiting with her, cos I still wasn't feeling right, and her brother was there anyways...

n yeh, I got back to Chris's again, and watched him play FFXII for a bit, then went to bed!

had to be up bout 9 this morning though, cos my Dad was comin round to visit for a bit... totally worth it, cos he was here for like, 10 mins... he did tell me it was gonna be short though to be fair!... and I stole some sausages from home for me n Chris n went back round to his for a couple of hours!

now I'm back here writing this blog... quite eventful really!... well, a bit anyways, hehe...

Pizza!

omg, I can confirm that my pizza yesterday was... quite cool!... we had ice cream factory after, that was also quite cool... and before, we had garlic bread and potato wedges, which were, shock horror, quite cool!... hmm, that was a bit in the wrong order...

ooo, I got FFXII yesterday for some reason... I'm not going to play it very much, cos I can't get my save onto my PS3 without buying that memory card reader that I can't be bothered to buy... so I shall let you know if it's cool in about 5 weeks when no-one cares about it anymore, and I am yet again totally behind on the Final Fantasy series, hehe... oh, and I only bought it cos it was like, £17!... :-)

I'm going to see Matt Willis tomorrow, yay!... it's quite exciting, cos he is amazing... always was my fave out of Busted!

hmm, tis a good job we have Sky+, cos I woulda totally missed 24 and Lost last week, and would be missing them tomorrow too!... how amazing has this season of 24 been so far!... quite shocking!... Lost, however, bit shit, has to be said...

well, I am back!... I handed my work in OK, you will be pleased to know... I'm quite positive I handed the wrong thing in, but I'm trying rather hard not to think about it!...

I apologise for the lack of meaningful blogs, I've been quite busy with that assignment... I had to create a model of my University and like, some of the surrounding area, that you can walk around... it turned out looking quite naff, and you could walk through walls, but still!... if anyone would like to see it, just drop me a line!... ;-P

ooo, I went to see The Killers on Sunday, and I can confirm that they were nothing short of amazing!... apart from, as you can see from the diagram below...

Console Wars!

hmm, if you know me, which you may very well do, you will know that I am quite interested in the whole war of the next-gen consoles!... tis lame I know, but still... I been thinking lately bout the whole thing for some reason, so I thought I'd tell y'all my views!... you don't have to read if you don't care, hehe...

the whole next-gen consoles thing is basically based round the Playstation 3, which is quite obvious cos of the Playstation 2 doing so well, and I've given my views on it a lot in the past, but I'm sure a lot of people just think of it as "PS3-bashing"... even so!... I have been looking into it, and the main thing that's putting people off atm is the price tag... personally, it doesn't bother me...

if you first look at the things that the PS3 is offering, ace HD-graphics, WiFi, HD-movie playback (Blu-Ray or whatever), online thing, 60GB HD, etc... coming to £425... then look at the things the 360 offers, ace HD-graphics, Xbox Live, 20GB HD, etc... £280... but!... if you wanted WiFi and HD-movie playback on your 360, you've gotta fork out another £190, knocking the actual equivalent price £470... and that's with a smaller hard drive... so, yeh, the price of the PS3 isn't actually that bad, it's just that they don't give you any options...

however... the PS3 has pretty much no games that're coming out on release that I care about in the slightest... dunno bout anyone else, but I think the launch games are really poop... they're either available on the 360 already, or they're just not that good!... apart from apparently that Resistance... whereas I have like, 4 of the release games for the 360... and 5 for the Wii (but that's not to say they are all good!... Red Steel, pfft)...

speaking of the Wii!... I don't class the Wii as a next-gen console really... I know it is, but it's in a whole league of it's own, cos it's nothing like the other 2... I love the Wii, it's so clever, hehe... but as to yet, the whole thing is being used as a novelty in random mini-game games... the only "real" games that I know of that are meant to be good and are out atm are Zelda, which is totally amazing, and Red Steel, which is really quite naff... don't get me wrong, the other games are cool, like Rayman and WarioWare, but I don't class them as real games... and we need some real games to come out!... roll on Super Mario Galaxy!

where was I!?... oh yes, Ps3 and 360!... I love my 360 too!... but the only thing it is offering more than the PS3, other than better games atm, is Xbox Live... cos Xbox Live is really cool, but you also have to pay for it... as far as I know, the PS3 equivalent is free... not sure though...

in the end, 360 did get a 12-month/15-month head start, but because of the PS2's big success, people are gonna automatically assume that the PS3 is the best console... and I'm not denying it could be, cos it probably will be in the end, and I really want one now...

I read in a few places that the 360 is predicted to win the war... but if you look at the figures, 360 has sold 10million up to yet... the Wii has already sold 3.5million, and it's close to impossible to find any in stock anywhere... PS3 has sold a good 1.3million and it's not even out in Europe yet... my prediction is that the Wii hype will die down soon though, and the Playstation will reign king of the consoles again... then the 360 will be left closely behind the Wii... however, if the DS is anything to go by, then I reckon Wii hype will stick and it will win overall!... either way, I reckon the 360 will probably lose, but it'll be interesting to see how the PS3 goes down in Europe...

how cool would it be if Sega came out of the blue with a next-gen console!?... the Dreamcast was ace, but maybe a bit before it's time... would never happen, but still... even better, how odd would it be if Apple decided to go into console gaming!... they could probably come up with some good shit if they put their minds to it, despite the Macs being not that good for gaming... mainly due to the lack of games that is, though...

hehe, I bet that blog was really boring and didn't make much sense... I did quite enjoy writing it though!... and I've managed to convince myself that the PS3 is quite good too, amazing...

Playstation Thrii / Money!

omg!... the PS3 European release details have been announced!... coming out on 23rd March for £425, incase y'all didn't know!... quite shocking that it is the only one of the next-gen consoles that I'm not getting on the day of release!... coupla reasons, including I think the price is a tad steep considering it doesn't do all that much more than a 360 apart from the whole Blu-ray thing up to yet (as far as I've seen anyways!)... I'm still slightly annoyed bout them stealing the Wii controller thingy with their tilty thing in the pads, but I'm mostly over that, cos I spose it is the way of the future n shit!... they've not got any release games that I'm interested in in the slightest!... but the main reason I ain't getting it is because I am currently attempting to control my money!

yup, I have been spending lots less lately!... I did buy myself 2 DVDs n 2 albums last week, but that was with some money my Dad gave me!... and I did buy a new game too, but that was with a voucher I had for Christmas!... so, yeh, I am doing quite well!... the only things I've spent my money on this year are people's birthdays, train fare, and random food!... quite shocking really!

I'm controlling my money because I may be moving out this year!... depending on if Chris still wants me to move in with him by then anyways, hehe... but my Mom was talking to me the other day about me moving out, and was all "we've decided we're not gonna switch rooms anymore, cos we don't wanna make you feel like you have to move out, or can't come home if things go wrong!"... so I guess that has taken a bit of pressure off!... but then the night after, her and my Step Dad were all "we feel sorry for Ryan, cos he hasn't really got anything in his room, everything is yours!" n stuff, which I am thinking isn't really my fault, but I spose it is true!... I'm planning on moving anyways, if everything is still ok later on in the year!

I am currently listening to my playlist of Unplayed songs!... my aim for this year is to have every song in my library's playcount 1 or more!... only 2,204 songs left!... quite a lot unplayed considering I only have 6,917 songs in my whole library!...

...and I am now going to go and play on my 360!...

so, hello!... how are we all!?... I am actually quite good at the moment!... I have a week off Uni, in which I have decided to actually have a week off Uni, with no work!... I have had soooo much to do up till Friday just gone... but yesterday I decided to play the games that I had for Christmas and haven't been able to play!

yay, McFly's Friday Night video just came on on Bubble Hits!... for all those (hehe, I speak as if I'm getting more than an average of 2 readers a day) who don't know what that is, it is an amazing music channel on Sky!... quite cool!

omg!... 24 started the other night, and I can confirm that is was... AMAZING!... the Jack is back!... I shan't give owt away about it, cos that would be mean, but it was great, hehe...

other eventful events that have happened lately include redecorating the living room and kitchen!... my Mommy turning 37 yesterday!... and having a power surge on Sunday which nearly blew up my Mac and my Wii! (thank you fuses!)... oh yes, and apparently Blogger has changed since the last time I used it, but it seems the same, apart from I see something that says "Labels for this post:" underneath this text box which looks cool, so I am going to type things in there now!...

hehe, I watched the first series of The League Of Gentlemen again this morning... t'was quite cool!... hadn't watched it for aaages... I may watch the second and third series' tomorrow... :-)

erm, I went to my Step Nan's/Granddad's for dinner!... we had beef!... I don't usually eat beef, unless it is in the form of a burger, thanks to City Slickers (poor cute baby cow!)... but, yeh, it was very nice!... I then went and sat at the top of their garden and played my DS under the tree, which was also nice!... and then sorted their computer out a bit, cos it's SO slow!... they have AOL... tis really awful... but anyways... I found out where I'm sitting for Robbie!... I'm gonna be lucky if I can see him!... Premier Tickets my ass... we're gonna be like, a whole width of a football pitch away from him if the seating plan is right... I spose they are the best seats though, cos everyone in front of us are standing... but we shall see on Friday, woow...

omg, I unlocked the last training thing on my Brain Training game today!... s'quite cool!... my Brain Age is currently still 30 though... which, considering I'm 19, isn't all that good!... :-$

Tomb Raider: Short Legend...

I didn't actually tell y'all, but I purchased the new Tomb Raider game on Friday for my 360, and omg, it was SO cool... the graphics are amazing and stuff!... but I completed it today!... I could have actually completed it yesterday if I didn't get stuck on this one boss, (which was only because I didn't actually have to kill it, pfft)... Tomb Raider games generally, thankfully, have a lot of replayability, so I can play it again when I want without being bored, cos it's ace, and plus, I have secrets to find...

I didn't tell y'all bout my new TV either, did I!?... yes, I was a naughty boy, and bought a HDTV last week... :-S... as well as this, I bought a surround sound system... so my 360 is totally amazing now!

in other news, my Mommy finished decorating the front room today!... my room is being done tomorrow!... I will be sure to show you the final results when they are done!

sorry I haven't blogged for a few days, I have been very busy with my Uni work!... but I can confirm, that it is now all done... ^_^

omg!... my Mac was meant to be coming today!... but it hasn't!... how annoying!... it should be here on Monday though, hopefully, hehe... I got The Sims 2 the other day for it, so I'll probably be having fun on that most of the time!...

hmm, other stuff... I saw Just Friends last night!... it was quite funny!... there's nowt else really that amazing that I've done... it was all work work work!... but I've broke up for 2 weeks now, woooooow... I think that's about it!
